Black History Month 2024

The Hub is committed to fostering economic opportunities for Black Americans nationwide. A key emphasis for the Hub’s work lies in collaborating with underrepresented and underserved communities and ensuring equity and diversity in Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs). Recognizing the benefits of RAPs as the most beneficial “earn while you learn” training models, our team champions them as a robust alternative to conventional college paths. Sheldon Strickland, the Hub’s digital marketing manager, conversed with Hub’s employer partner and a registered apprentice to commemorate Black History Month. They shared their firsthand experiences with RAPs, discussing the significant personal and professional benefits they gained from the program.
